As a community school and an inclusive school we strive to achieve our vision of “Excellence at the Heart of the Community” by working in partnership with all our stakeholders to develop community cohesion and improve the life chances of people in our community.
William Beamont Community High School is an integral part of the Orford Park Project, the vision of which is to regenerate the local area using sport, leisure, health and lifelong learning to increase the health, well-being and empowerment of our local community. As an extended school a range of activities has already been created in relation to the needs of the pupils, their families and the community.
Our school will become a distinctive and dynamic centre of excellence for lifelong learning in the community with a strong focus on choice and diversity. We will raise the attainment and achievement of all our pupils and work towards the elimination of the achievement gap to enhance the life chances of all our learners.
Our vision for future learning articulates a clear vision of William Beamont as a school at the heart of its community and as a Specialist Sports College our existing community programme will both enhance and compliment the programmes offered as part of the regeneration of Orford Park. Being at the heart of the Orford Park Project, our school will make a major contribution to local regeneration with our Specialist Sport College status playing a lead role in this via the ongoing development of our community provision.
The shared use of ‘state of the art’ indoor sports facilities and the extension of outdoor learning provision will offer our pupils, their families and the community, an exciting and stimulating environment that enhances the lifelong learning opportunities for all members of our community.
